We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Technician to join our team. As a Tyre Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of vehicles by performing tyre installations, repairs, and maintenance. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Inspect and assess tyres for wear and damage, ensuring they meet safety standards.
Remove and replace tyres on various vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
Perform tyre repairs, including patching and balancing, to extend tyre life.
Utilise power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during tyre service tasks.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Assist customers with tyre selection based on their vehicle requirements and driving habits.
Keep accurate records of services performed and maintain inventory of tyres and supplies.
Adhere to all safety protocols while working in the workshop environment.
Experience
Previous experience as a Tyre Technician or in a similar automotive role is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy lifting equipment safely.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to tyre servicing.
Ability to lift heavy objects regularly as part of the job requirements.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for this position.
