We are a thriving medium-sized Firm based in the beautiful market town of Henley-on-Thames, with a reputation for Private Client expertise and we wish to recruit an additional Trust & Tax Manager to join our Private Client Team.
We manage approaching 100 family trusts for which annual accounts and tax returns are required. We also deal with a large number of Probate matters which require accounting and tax work for the administration period. The role will also involve the completion of a limited number of personal tax returns for clients.
Our Private Client Team comprises 4 Partners and 4 solicitors assisted by a number of support staff and we work together to develop good, lasting relationships with our clients who are a broad range of people based both locally and further afield, many of whom we have worked with over a number of years across generations of the same family. Hence our Trust and Taxation work is very well established and has interesting and complex elements to it.
We seek CVs from candidates with previous experience in a similar role together with knowledge of double-entry book-keeping and good Excel skills. Ideally candidates will be AAT/ATT qualified and will have had experience of tax return software, ideally PTP Tax Software. Good communication skills are extremely important as is the ability and experience to work with limited supervision.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of our existing Trust and Tax Manager, who will oversee and provide guidance on strategic and overview matters.
Consideration will be given to candidates looking to work full time or part-time hours, as there is some flexibility to adjust workload. Initially office-based working is required, while the new candidate becomes familiarised with the firm and with our clients, but otherwise remote working is entirely possible as our systems are set up to enable this. However ideally the candidate will be based fairly locally.
