Role Overview



As the Centre Manager, you will be at the heart of our tuition centre's success, reporting directly to the Director -- combining strategic leadership with hands-on operational management. You will inspire the wider Education Team, ensure the delivery of an exceptional learning experience for every student, and ensure the smooth, compliant, and profitable running of the centre.

This is a role for an organised, confident, adaptable, and results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & People Management



Lead, coach, and inspire the Education Team and Admin staff to achieve performance targets and professional growth. Delegate effectively, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly and constructively. Conduct regular team meetings, appraisals, and individual check-ins.

Operational Excellence



Oversee day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment. Manage staff (tutor, admin, remote) rotas, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency. Ensure all safeguarding, Ofsted, and company compliance requirements are always met.

Strategic Growth & Performance



Analyse KPIs, attendance, and academic progress to identify improvement opportunities. Develop and execute a clear plan to achieve short- and long-term performance goals. Increase student enrolment and retention by managing marketing, lead management and enquiry follow-up.

Customer Experience & Stakeholder Engagement



Build strong relationships with parents, students, and local partners. Handle escalated queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Finance & Administration



Manage budgets, petty cash, and expenditure tracking. Maintain accurate records for students, staff, incidents, and compliance. Prepare performance and feedback reports for senior management. Manage and monitor credit control Conduct monthly payroll for all staff

Essential Skills & Experience



Proven leadership and team management experience in education, training, or a customer-facing role. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using performance data to make decisions and drive improvements. Competence with Microsoft Office, CRM systems. Commitment to safeguarding and child protection best practices.

Desirable Skills



Experience in tuition, education, or training environments. Knowledge of Ofsted compliance, awarding body processes, or exam centre management. Budget management and KPI tracking experience. Background in management, sales, marketing, or community engagement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 36,000.00-42,000.00 per year
