full training is provided

hybrid role combining tutor support and tutoring

Working Pattern
Weekday evenings only
We are open throughout
all school holidays
, including the long summer break
We close for approximately
two weeks over Christmas and New Year
Training & Pay
We are happy to train the right candidate as a tutor if desired, which would lead to a
higher rate of pay
.
Training rate:
12.21 per hour
Trained support staff rate:
12.21 per hour
Tutor rate (after training):
Minimum 15 per hour
Rising quickly to a maximum of 20 per hour
Average academic year rate:
16-18 per hour
, depending on performance and session size
Training duration varies depending on the individual.
Requirements
A minimum of
Grade B / 6 at GCSE
in
Maths, English, and Science
Over 18 years old
(Ofsted requirement)
Minimum education level:
A Levels completed
Suitable for gap year students, university students, recent graduates, and experienced tutors
Exam grades must be included with your application
. Applications that do not meet the grade requirement will be automatically rejected.
Applicants should ideally:
Be familiar with the
current UK National Curriculum and exam system (England)
Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and strong safeguarding awareness
Be flexible, as optional additional hours may occasionally be available
Be legally entitled to work in the UK
Safeguarding & Compliance (Essential)
Due to Ofsted and safeguarding requirements, all successful candidates must complete:
A
fully enhanced DBS check
(including barred list check)
Two references
Verification of
identity documents and address
Safeguarding training
(CPD accredited)
We also provide access to
up to 80 additional CPD-accredited courses
for all tutors and support staff.
