About The Role

EKFB (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.



EKFB are recruiting for a Tunnel Lead Surveyor to join our team based at the Greatworth to Southam Area. This position will be responsible for managing the tunnel survey team in relation to setting out / asbuilt works and working with the delivery team to develop setting out methods for upcoming tunnel works at Chipping Warden Green Tunnel and Greatworth Green Tunnel. The Tunnel Lead Surveyor will work closely with the design and delivery team.


The survey manager will manage, coordinate and provide regular survey asbuilt data which will report and validate the status of all tunnel assets at different construction stages throughout the programme of Works while also carrying out measurements and collect and interpret data as part of tunnelling works.



This role will coordinate with the Agents, Sub Agents, Section Engineers & Site Engineers for the priority of the project regarding implementation, changes of plans or deviations, unusual activities or non-conformances rectification work and coordinate with the consultant for Inspection & Approval.



The Survey Manager will be leading the surveyors / engineers to ensure they are setting out and carrying out Topographical and Engineering Surveys (Laser Scanner) correctly.



This position will use Point Cloud Data - Registration & Post-Processing, GNSS network surveying, precise traversing and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control.


About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:



HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent. Experience within a similar role and with similar values. Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Have expert knowledge of Leica total stations, levels and GNSS receivers. Have excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings. Excellent documentation and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
