About Us:

The academies are committed to providing high-quality education and ensuring every student reaches their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Intervention Tutor to join our team and support students in improving their literacy and numeracy skills.

Role Overview

: As an intervention tutor, you will be responsible for overall delivery of targeted literacy and or numeracy interventions. You will work with students who need additional support to develop their reading, writing and number skills, ensuring they can access a full


curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver targeted support via one-to-one or small group sessions, across English and/ or Maths. Assess students' progress by tracking the effectiveness of the intervention and observing students in lessons. Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students. Provide feedback to teaching staff to support students in lessons. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to all stakeholders. Use a range of resources and strategies to engage students and foster an enjoyment of education. Report to the SENDCo.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:



Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience or willingness to learn in delivering structured small-group/ one-to-one support programmes. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.

Desirable Skills:



Previous experience in a similar role or working with students requiring
additional support.

Knowledge in barriers to learning and how to support students that find learning a challenge. Qualities; caring, patient, high expectations, strong communication skills, collaborative, and proactive. Previous experience in school or tutoring in the core subjects.
