Keane Futures is a forward-thinking alternative provision dedicated to supporting young people who thrive best outside of mainstream education. We specialise in working with students with Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs, and those who benefit from creative, interest-led learning pathways.
The Role
We're looking for a passionate, adaptable Tutor/Creative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can deliver engaging sessions across a range of subjects and creative disciplines -- from Art, Music, and Design to practical life skills, animal care/forestry, hair and beauty and project-based learning.
You'll work 1:1 or with small groups (4), tailoring sessions to each young person's needs and interests. Your creativity and flexible approach will help our students re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop valuable life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative sessions that inspire and motivate young people. Whilst building a portfolio of qualifications and a solid foundation of Maths and English.
Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs, interests, and abilities.
Build strong, supportive relationships with students.
Support students' social, emotional, and mental wellbeing alongside their educational progress.
Keep clear planning and records of sessions, progress, and impact for reporting
Contribute ideas for new projects, activities, and enrichment opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
A passion for working with young people with additional needs.
Creative skills in one or more areas (e.g. Art, Music, Design, Media, Crafts, Animals, Hair and Beauty ).
Teaching, tutoring, youth work, or creative workshop experience (formal qualifications welcome but not essential).
Flexibility, patience, and a solution-focused attitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Contract Details:
Flexible working hours -- part-time/full-time considered.
Freelance or PAYE.
12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Competitive pay depending on experience and specialism.
