About the role:





We are looking for a Tutor in Fashion Design 0.6 FTE (equivalent to three days per week) to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidates will contribute to high quality teaching and student experience across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, bringing experience, skills and knowledge to inspire the next generation of fashion talent for an ever-changing industry. You should have insight into the fashion design process, pattern cutting, and digital design software, including but not limited to, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. An important part of the role will be to ensure the smooth running of modules as well as providing exceptional teaching support and guidance to students through their academic journey.

The successful applicant will have:



Essential Skills:


A higher degree/postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area or appropriate equivalent experience. Ability to communicate complex information with clarity to a range of diverse audiences, both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in order to deliver individual and team objectives. Sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge of contemporary fashion desgin practices from both academic and industry perspectives. Experience of teaching in the relevant field of practice.

Desirable:


A PGCE, Certificate of Education, PGCLTHE or membership of the Higher Education Academy. Membership of relevant Professional bodies, demonstrating professional standing. Successfully published/exhibited professional practice.
