The Role
1. To deliver training, NVQ assessment and testing inline with Quality Assurance processes and Qualification standards.
2. To support the development of course material, lesson plans and resources to support industry requirements/needs.
3. To provide an appropriate learning environment where learners feel safe and supported to improve themselves and move on to a positive outcome.
To support the skills gap in Industry with the delivery and assessment of training courses within Retrofit, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability and renewable energy including, but not limited to Testing, Domestic Energy Assessment and Understanding Domestic Retrofit.
Responsibilities:
Planning, delivering and assessing a variety of courses across the curriculum
Providing a safe and supportive learning environment whilst adapting to a variety of learner styles and abilities
Prepare all course documentation and assessment material ready for Quality Assurance processes ensuring all portfolios meet the awarding organisations requirements and Qualification standards
Complete NVQ Assessments, site visits, professional discussions and videos to support learners' timely completion
Report progress on a monthly basis to the Head of the NEEC in line with KPI targets
Identify opportunities for growth and development through research, IQA feedback and observations. Ensure own CPD is maintained and recorded in line with this
Work with the Head of the NEEC and Awarding organisations to meet qualification standards.
Carry out assessment in the learners workplace whilst adhering to all Health and Safety requirements,
Keep up to date with business changes and Industry requirements
Administration:
Carry out diary planning and updates, where necessary to ensure you maintain your diary and maximise productivity and assessment activity.
Ensure the effective tracking of assessment, completion and achievement
Complete all documentation associated with learners, including but not limited to initial assessments, assessment planning, advice and guidance, equality and diversity, feedback, reviews and appeals, complaints, safeguarding, prevent and welfare tracking and awarding organisations and funders requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
A Teaching/Assessing Qualification such as: A1, D32/D33, CAVA, Pttls/AET, Cttls/CET, Dttls/DET, PGCE.
Additional Qualifications Beneficial: Domestic Energy Assessor, Non-Domestic Energy Assessor
Able to demonstrate
Occupational Competence
within a Construction, Architecture, Building design, Quantity Surveying or construction Project Management role
A good understanding of insulation and the different types of Insulation and energy efficiency measures available.
Competent IT User withWorking Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power-point.
A good understanding of Energy Efficiency, Sustainability and Renewable technologies
