. We understand that motivation is one of the key components in a student's willingness and determination to learn and is essential for academic progress. We focus on the three different aspects of motivation - a motivated classroom, student and teacher - to ensure an environment in which students can prosper and thrive.

We provide a range of tailored classes on weekday evenings and weekends for students aged 8-18. We follow the standard national curriculum and teach KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level classes in small groups, ensuring we create and maintain an intimate and inclusive learning environment. Our students come from across East London and beyond for our unique approach to teaching and learning.

The Role:

Tutor



Role and responsibilities



To inspire and motivate students through engaging and interactive lessons To create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth, critical thinking, and independent learning skills. To use StudyRight materials and approved resources to deliver tailored learning plans to meet the individual learning needs of students Conduct tests and monitor student progress To update records of progress using StudyRight student reports and StudyRight Pathways after every session Inform Management of any concerns regarding a student To assist in the design and delivery of group workshops related to expertise To provide students with assistance with homework and school-specific requests when required] To occasionally lead final exam group study sessions or half-term clubs

Qualifications and education requirements



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students Graduate or Undergraduate students A-Level and GCSE qualifications will vary based on subject taught

Preferred skills



Strong organizational and time-management skills Relevant teaching/tutoring experience would be beneficial Passion for education

Training provided



Base knowledge and understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Maths, Science, and Literacy at relevant level Proficiency in using technology and online learning platforms used by the centre Updated knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures Processes and Pathways used to deliver lessons

Additional information



This role is advertised as part time. Due to the nature of the role, hours are constituted of weekends and weekday evenings and can sometimes include overtime. The role includes but is not limited to the above job description; role holders will sometimes help around the centre if and when required. This can involve pitching in to cover other members of staff and assuming responsibilities temporarily where gaps appear.
