Job Summary
PRG Training and Recruitment Centre, recommends that
nominated tutors/trainers
delivering their qualifications should meet certainminimum standards of subject knowledge and teaching competence
.This ensures that anyone teaching PRG -accredited qualifications (for example, Functional Skills, or compliance courses) is appropriately
qualified and competent
.1. Subject Area Qualification (Knowledge Competence)
Tutors must show they have
sufficient knowledge
of the subject they're teaching -- in this example, Mathematics.They should hold
one of the following or higher

Level 2 Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics
, or ?GCSE Maths
at gradeC / 4 or above
, or ?A-Level in Maths
(or above), or ? Any equivalent or higher-level maths-related qualification.2. Teaching Qualification (Teaching Competence)
Tutors must also show they have
teaching skills or experience
, demonstrated through either aformal teaching qualification
or relevanttraining experience
.Acceptable evidence includes:
Level 3 PTLLS
(Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)- legacy qualificationLevel 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
- modern equivalentCertificate or Diploma in Education
Bachelor's or Master's in Education
City & Guilds Teacher's Certificate
(or equivalent)Level 3 or Level 4 NVQ
in Training and/or Development Or proof ofat least 30 hours of formal teaching/training experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 15.53-20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.50 per week
Work Location: In person
