As a Meat and Poultry Tutor, you will be required to motivate and support apprentices achieve qualifications to work within the industry. You will be delivering high quality teaching to a diverse range of apprentices on:

FDQ Level 2 Diploma for Proficiency in Meat and Poultry Industry Skills

Meat and Poultry Skills Level 2 Diploma,

Level 3 Certificate in Meat and Poultry/Food Industry Skills.

Responsibilities:

Carry out learner needs assessments.

Deliver high-quality teaching.

Support and guide learners to achieve their qualifications.

Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet individual learner needs.

Monitor and report on learner progress.??

Ensure all learner documentation is maintained accurately and updated.

Requirements:

Possession of the following is essential in line with Department for Economy Circular FE 01/12:

GCSE (or any qualification which is deemed to be equivalent) in English (Grade A - C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication. GCSE (or any qualification which is deemed to be equivalent) in Mathematics (Grade A- C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy. A level 3 or level 4 qualification in the area to be taught. Current driving license. Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.

Desirable:

A or Level 4 qualification in the area to be taught A Teaching qualification (Certificate in Teaching) or working or willing to work towards a qualification. Previous experience of training and/or assessing in a Further Education setting and/or Training Organisation. Assessors award or working towards.
