PLEASE NOTE: This role is approx. 1 hour per week. Additional hours may not be available. This is a zero-hour contract, and tutoring takes place in the student's home unless stated otherwise.

The Role

We are currently hiring for a

female tutor

to support a student with their

English and Maths within the SE20 area

.

Student:

Year 7 student who needs extra support in English and Maths. Student has dyslexia and can have difficulty retaining information.

Pay:

20 per hour (paid on a self-employed basis)

Location:

SE20

(student's home)

Commitment:

1 hour per week

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday between 4-6pm

Essential Requirements

must

meet the following essential criteria:

Live within

40 minutes of SE20

(e.g. Croydon, Streatham, Greenwich, Bromley, Mitcham, etc) Experience working with children or young people (e.g. as a tutor, teacher, teaching assistant, youth worker, childcare practitioner, mentor, etc.) Availability for tutoring during the family's preferred time slots Has experience working with children with dyslexia MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis

Must be a woman (as per the family's request)

Access to a

printer

-- while we provide most materials, tutors are occasionally expected to print resources Educated to

degree level

(desirable but not essential)*

Responsibilities

Provide engaging and effective one-to-one tutoring sessions in the student's home Develop a positive and trusting relationship with the student Adjust your teaching style to suit the student's individual needs Monitor progress and plan future sessions based on the students' development/requirements Enhance confidence and foster a genuine passion for learning
