Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: This role is approx. 1-4 hours per week. Additional hours may not be available. This is a zero-hour contract, and tutoring takes place in the student's home unless stated otherwise.

We're now seeking more dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to join our friendly team!

The Role(s)



We are currently hiring

one or two tutors

to support students with their

History studies within the RH2 area

:

Student 1:

History GCSE student who requires weekday tutoring in the afternoon/evenings for 2-4 hours weekly

Student 2:

History A-Level student who requires tutoring on Saturdays (after 2 pm) for 1 hour, weekly

Pay:

20 per hour (paid on a self-employed basis)

Essential Requirements



Please read carefully- applicants

must

meet the following essential criteria:

Live within

30 minutes of RH2 9XX

(e.g., Reigate, Redhill, Lower Kingswood, etc) Experience working with children or young people (e.g., as a tutor, teacher, teaching assistant, youth worker, mentor, etc.) Availability for tutoring during the family's preferred time slots Achieved at least a B grade (or grade 6) in GCSE History or in A-Level History, depending on which student you are applying to tutor. Has experience working with children with behavioural difficulties (Student 1) MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis Access to a

printer-

while we provide most materials, tutors are occasionally expected to print resources Educated to

degree level

Responsibilities



Provide engaging and effective one-to-one tutoring sessions in the student's home Develop a positive and trusting relationship with the student Adjust your teaching style to suit the student's individual needs Monitor progress and plan future sessions based on the students' development/requirements Enhance confidence and foster a genuine passion for learning
