Join Opportunity Sheffield, a dynamic part of Sheffield City Council's Employment and Skills Service, as we embark on an exciting period of growth and innovation! With new funding from the Economic Inactivity Trailblazer and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), we are looking for a dedicated Tutor to enhance our team.



As a Tutor, your key role will be to teach and facilitate courses aimed at enhancing our employability programs. You will prepare and deliver engaging learning sessions, guide learners through their development paths, and take the lead in designing schemes of learning. Additionally, you will assist in creating learning materials and develop valuable resources tailored to the workforce development needs of our employers, with a focus on key job sectors, including customer services, retail, L1 health and safety, construction, administration and basic digital skills.



We are in search of an enthusiastic, proactive and innovative tutor who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred support to our participants. You missing will be to help individuals build essential skills and confident, empowering them to secure longer-term employment.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.



If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
