The Role

We are currently hiring for a

female tutor

based in

Chiswick (or nearby)

to help a student with their

physics

GCSE

.

Rate:

20 per hour (paid on a self-employed basis)

Location:

W3 - sessions take place in the student's home

Hours(s):

1 hour per week

Schedule:

Wednesday evenings
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with young children and would like to make a meaningful impact through personalised, one-to-one tutoring.

Essential Requirements

meet the following essential criteria:

Live within

40 minutes of W3

(e.g., Chiswick, Acton, Brentford or Ealing, etc) Experience working with children or young people (e.g., as a tutor, teacher, teaching assistant, youth worker, mentor, etc.) Availability for tutoring during the family's preferred time slots (Wednesday evenings) Must have achieved at least a B or grade 6 in GCSE physics MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis

Must be a woman (as per the family's request)

Access to a

printer

-- while we provide most materials, tutors are occasionally expected to print resources Educated to

degree level

(desirable but not essential)*

Responsibilities

Provide personalised one-to-one tutoring sessions in the student's home, in line with their specific learning goals/needs. Foster a warm, supportive relationship with students. Plan fun, engaging activities and lessons that encourage active participation. Monitor the student's progress and adapt your approach as needed to support their development. Encourage, motivate, and help students grow their confidence in their abilities.
