Goostrey Village Pre-School is looking for a dedicated

Two-Year-Old Lead Practitioner

to oversee the care, learning and development of our 2-year-old cohort within our mixed-age environment.

We offer education and childcare for 2-5 year olds in a warm, caring and inviting setting located in the heart of our village. Although our children learn and play together, our 2-year-olds have their own unique developmental needs -- and we are seeking someone who can champion and coordinate their provision.

About the Role

As our Two-Year-Old Lead Practitioner, you will:

Oversee the daily organisation, wellbeing and learning of the 2-year-old cohort within a mixed-age setting. Support, guide and work alongside a small staff team, ensuring consistent high-quality practice

Be a key person for a group of children, building secure attachments and strong relationships with families. Ensure the EYFS curriculum is appropriately adapted for 2-year-olds, with a strong emphasis on the Prime Areas. Monitor and support high-quality interactions, routines and caregiving that meet the needs of our younger children. Communicate with parents about their child's progress, routines and development. Work closely with the Preschool Manager and team to ensure smooth transitions as children grow and develop. Help create a calm, nurturing and stimulating environment where all children -- especially our youngest -- can thrive.
This role is ideal for an experienced Level 3 practitioner ready to take on leadership responsibility or deepen their specialism in early childhood development.
