Nursery Lead Practitioner

Milton Keynes, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

If you are offered a EYP role, you will receive a 500 recruitment bonus after successfully completing your 3 month probation period.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Practitioner to join our nursery in Shenley Church End. This is initially to cover maternity leave but we will also discuss other roles across Acorn when the maternity cover ends.

Our lovely nursery building, in the heart of the old Shenley Church End village was formerly the primary school, and retains the character of the original Victorian architecture. The rooms have been sympathetically refurbished to provide light and spacious play areas. In this supportive environment, your child will be able to learn and develop through play and creativity.

The nursery offers full and part-time care for children aged four months to four years, and is open 7:30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. All Acorn nurseries are closed for all bank holidays, between Christmas and new year, plus our four training days each year. This means the monthly fees are calculated over 49 weeks. You will not be charged for these days, however fees are payable for additional closure days which are out of our control, eg: additional bank holidays over the standard eight. Funded childcare options are available.

The role will be 40 hours per week, working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, working between 07.15 and 18.15.

We're proud to be one of the leading childcare providers in Milton Keynes, Northampton and Bedford with over 35 years' experience who specialise in nature pedagogy and promoting the professional development of our employees. We believe that childcare needs a personal touch, and our nurseries and out-of-school clubs offer flexibility and individuality with a homely feel. As a not-for-profit organisation, we place our children's well-being at the heart of our work.

We very much welcome candidates that are looking to progress their personal career development due to future opportunities in the pipeline within the location of MK.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, motivated and enthusiastic about outdoor learning and creative play, as well as a good working knowledge and practice of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

Apply today or get in touch with our HR team for an information chat on: 01908 510309 or email: recruitment@acornearlyyears.org.uk

At Acorn, we're committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong and can thrive.
