Tyre Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand and power tools. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles by providing high-quality tyre services. The Tyre Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tyre installation, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities

Inspect and assess tyres for wear and damage, ensuring they meet safety standards. Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. Balance wheels to ensure smooth operation of vehicles. Repair punctures and other tyre-related issues as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist customers with tyre selection based on their needs and vehicle specifications. Keep accurate records of services performed and materials used. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience as a Tyre Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly related to automotive systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling tyres and equipment. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
