Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with hand and power tools. As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Duties

Inspect, install, and repair tyres on a range of vehicles including cars, vans, and lorries. Perform wheel alignments and balancing to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out tyre-related tasks. Conduct thorough safety checks on vehicles before and after tyre installation or repair. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Assist customers with tyre selection and provide recommendations based on their needs. Handle heavy lifting of tyres and equipment as required during service operations.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive service preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) as part of daily tasks. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
