About us

UCL was established in February 1826 - the first University to be located in London and the first in England to admit students of all backgrounds and faiths. UCL's history is one of world-leading pioneering research, education, discovery, and societal benefit, built on foundational values of inclusion and excellence in all endeavours.

UCL's Bicentenary in 2026 is a once in 200 years opportunity to enhance UCL's reputation and standing as a global university by celebrating what has been achieved and demonstrating UCL's preparedness for the next century.

The UCL 200 Team is a small but highly committed team responsible for overseeing the programme to mark UCL's 200th anniversary in 2026.

About the role

------------------

As Project Officer for UCL200, you will play a key role in supporting the Programme Director and Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects aligned with the university's bicentennial celebrations. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational and administrative support across a range of initiatives, ensuring that project milestones are met on time and within scope. This role requires effective coordination with internal stakeholders across UCL, as well as external partners, to facilitate smooth communication, track progress, and contribute to the overall success of the programme.

This will be a unique, fast paced and highly engaging role working across the entirety of UCL. It provides the opportunity to play a vital role on a challenging, but exceptionally rewarding project.

Please note this is a fixed-term contract until the 31st January 2027.

About you

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised, and efficient Project Officer, who is a strong communicator, and has an ability to bring together a diverse group of people in order to deliver a year-long programme of outstanding activities and events marking UCL's Bicentennial milestone.

This role will require passion and enthusiasm for celebrating UCL's 200th Anniversary collectively and collaboratively. The Team Coordinator should have experience working collaboratively within a team to provide high-quality project support and administration to internal and external projects. The candidate should be comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders, coordinating successful communications and supporting the delivery of a variety of activities across the UCL200 programme.
