About the Role





We are seeking a skilled, creative, passionate and artistic

UI Artist to join our Games Team and create art focused, UI art/assets on asocial multiplayer game of a fantastic IP.




You will be an enthusiastic, accomplished UI artist/designer, collaborating closely with our UX Designer to deliver on their approved designs, creating visually appealing UI art/assets that enhance the gameplay and player experience.



This role is open to candidates who wish to work remote, on site in our Glasgow Studio or hybrid.

Key Responsibilities




Creating great UI art/assets that enhance the game and player experience. Working and collaborating closely with UX Designer
and other Key Stakeholders to create art driven UI art/assets ensuring they are art, game/player focused and intuitive to understand while meeting visual, stylistic, gameplay and technical requirements.
Providing UI art/asset solutions from the ground up, from early research, incorporating feedback and useability/player tests, through iterative refinement to high-fidelity mockups and final in-game delivery. Create, share and maintain artistic
processes, techniques and technical documentation of UI

art/assets and features.
Clearly present and deliver the best UI art/asset solutions to UX Designer and other key stakeholders. Work to increase and share knowledge, skills and experience.



Skills & Experience




Essential




Excellent UI art/asset creative skills. Visual design skills: composition, layout, iconography, typography, colour theory. Excellent working knowledge of industry standard tools, for example: Figma, Adobe Products (Photoshop, Illustrator), After Effects. Experience creating Figma Prototypes and high-fidelity wireframes, ensuring any required interactivity is tested and delivered. Ability to Design visually appealing UI art/assets for Mobile applications with industry experience. Published titles in casual, multiplayer and/or social gaming a huge bonus. Great attention to detail
and a passion for making quality

UI art/assets that consistently deliver on artistic, stylistic, visual, gameplay requirements and experiences.
Highly collaborative, creative, artistic and problem-solving mindset coupled with the ability to take responsibility and ownership. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to clearly and effectively present approaches and techniques and explain decisions and ideas. Strong team player, able to provide and accept timely, clear, constructive feedback and advice to and from team members. Able to provide visually engaging UI art/asset solutions to problems and ideate and iterate UI art/assets quickly. Able to work within guidelines while finding opportunities for creative expression. Self-motivated, Pro-Active and Collaborative. Fluent in English, spoken and written.



Desirable




Experience or awareness of multi-platform game development pipelines. Wide knowledge of games, genres and styles. Knowledge of different play-testing methods. Degree or other significant qualification or experience in an Art, Games, Visual Effects, 3D or Motion Graphics related subject, with corresponding portfolio and/or showreel. Experience in using Miro and Jira. * Basic knowledge of UI implementation in Unity Engine.
