Overview
The CFO is a key executive leader responsible for defining and executing GBS UK's financial strategy. This role demands strategic vision, financial expertise, and leadership to oversee financial functions, drive growth, and create stakeholder value. As the senior finance leader, the CFO ensures compliance, optimises performance, and leads transformative initiatives across UK regions and subsidiaries. The CFO also guides a team to provide professional finance leadership for Gallagher Benefit Services and UK financial planning, while managing daily operations and promoting continuous improvement.

Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Lead Finance and Accounting operations, ensuring scalable, compliant systems.
Partner with CEO and Board to shape financial roadmap and inform decisions.
Oversee financial and tax strategies for performance optimisation and compliance.
Drive annual budgeting aligned with corporate objectives.
Collaborate on budgets and performance metrics to support strategic goals.
Deliver accurate financial analyses to guide decisions.
Ensure precise financial reporting and compliance.
Maintain financial controls and standards.

About You
Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with CF1/SMF3 FCA Approved Person status.
Expertise in Pensions, Wealth Management, and Employee Benefits markets.
Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, such as CFO.
Skilled in strategic financial planning, forecasting, and capital management.
Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and financial transactions in regulated environments.
Strong regulatory knowledge, including ERISA and compliance mandates.
Proficient in financial systems, ERP platforms, and data-driven decision-making tools.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders.
Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
Inspirational leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Ability to manage teams indirectly to resolve operational issues.
Team player with a proactive attitude.
