As Internal Communications Lead for the UK, you will be the strategic energy behind our employee communications across multiple sites in the UK. Reporting to the Vice President Syngenta UK, with UK Leadership's support and a good level of independence, develop and put into effect communication strategies that connect our people, support our business objectives, and continue to nourish our culture.
Responsibilities

  • Design and implement internal communication strategy that align with Syngenta's business objectives that meet the requirements of the UK Leadership Team & their communities
  • Partner with site leadership teams to translate corporate strategies into fit for purpose employee communications
  • Shape communications that resonate across a diverse mix of audiences from office-based teams to manufacturing sites and research labs.
  • Create regular communication channels that effectively reach all employees across the UK.
  • Create engaging multi-format content for diverse employee audiences
  • Lead change communication initiatives during organizational transformations
  • Produce weekly digests highlighting key activities across UK functions
  • Manage town halls and employee engagement events
  • Lead the UK Communications Network of site-level representatives
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and global/regional communications teams
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in internal communications within multi-site, matrix organizations with diverse audiences
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Solid track record in change management communications
  • Experience within a large, matrix organisation
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms and content management systems
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate complex messages for different audiences
  • Creative problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment

Site Details
The role is based in the Syngenta Manchester office in Didsbury. This is a hybrid contract with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months, there will be a requirement to spend up to 4 days per week onsite), there will be occasional travel to the other sites. The site is a hub hosting varied Global, Regional and Local roles, from Supply Chain, Digital IT to Sourcing and Change Management roles.
