About the role
As UK Sales Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Business Development and Regional Account Managers, driving performance and delivering ambitious sales targets across the Industrial Protective Equipment and Fire & Rescue markets. Combining strategic planning with hands?on leadership, you will set clear objectives, coach your team, and ensure the effective execution of Drager's go-to-market strategy. Working closely with senior leadership, marketing, and business development, you will unlock growth opportunities, strengthen key customer relationships, and deliver sustainable regional success.
General expectations of the role:
Leadership & Team Management
Provide direct-line management of the UK Safety sales Team.
Recruit, onboard, and develop regional sales managers as required, embedding the go-to-market strategy into team operations.
Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular field visits, in-field coaching, and structured development plans.
Conduct Annual Feedback Reviews, manage performance in line with company policy, and drive professional upskilling aligned with sales competencies.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture in line with the "We Lead" behavioural framework. I deliver results!
Sales Strategy & Execution
Set and deliver the annual regional sales budget and team targets, ensure consistent achievement of financial commitments.
Develop and execute a clear sales plan aligned with Drager's strategy, translating it into measurable sales tactics.
Identify and pursue Key Growth Opportunities in collaboration with the Business Development Managers.
Take strategic ownership of major opportunities, driving long-term account development.
Present accurate, data-driven sales plans, forecasts, and funnel updates to senior management at regular intervals.
Financial & Operational Management
Ensure accurate use of CRM, Power BI, and reporting tools to track performance and inform decision-making.
Monitor ROI on regional sales activities, aligning resources to maximise impact.
Ensure compliance with expense management (Concur), CRM standards, and sales functional excellence expectations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders and strategic accounts to drive growth.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Services, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless delivery of commercial strategies and customer projects.
Work jointly with Marketing to align sales strategies with key initiatives and present the annual commercial strategy to the team.
Partner with Business Development to develop long-term partnerships with strategic accounts in line with Drager's four-pillar medical strategy.
Communication & Team Engagement
Facilitate regular team meetings and biannual team events for account planning and mid-year reviews.
Provide clear, consistent communication of commercial priorities, sales goals, and progress to all team members.

Education/Qualifications
University degree or equivalent desirable
Leadership and management qualification desirable
Marketing qualification desirable
Related Experience
Relevant business experience in a senior marketing role essential
Previous experience in Safety Markets and Applications Industry
Previous experience in first line management of a team of people

Deep knowledge of safety industry and other relevant customers
