As an Admissions Tutor at Auxiliary Education, you will be mentoring aspiring students through the UK university admissions process. We are specifically looking for recent graduates or current students from Imperial College London, LSE, UCL, Oxford, or Cambridge with a background in STEM, Law and Medicine. You will leverage your personal experience and insights in your specialty to provide tailored, meaningful advice. Success in this position involves helping students secure placements in top universities while equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to excel beyond academia.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored advice and guidance on the UK university admissions process.
Review and provide constructive feedback on personal statements.
Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to enhance interview performance for applications.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK university admission requirements, and share updates with the team.
Collaborate with the Auxiliary Education team to contribute to the development and improvement of our tutoring methods and resources.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree (or current student) from G5 Universities ( Imperial College London, LSE, UCL, Oxford, or Cambridge).
Proven experience in tutoring or a related role.
In-depth understanding of the UK university admissions process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with students.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to overcoming challenges.
