We are looking to recruit an Underwriter to join our growing team.

We are happy to consider candidates working on a remote basis, with the expectation that you can travel to our

Dublin office as required

. The successful candidate must reside in Ireland.

How you'll make an impact

Underwrites individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on an admitted or non-admitted basis. Determines whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision. Has frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions. May provide support to Underwriter Senior in servicing and management of accounts.

About You

Experience within underwriting across commercial risks would be essential for this role. Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications: Cert CII/Dip CII is desirable as is being educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLA's. Evidence of rapport-building and experience in providing solid customer service focus with outstanding communication and social skills. Due diligence and process driven to deadlines, happy to forward plan, organise and analyse information. Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail, using initiative when assisting team members.
