Now, we're looking for a hands-on, experienced

Underwriting Manager

to lead our in-house underwriting function and support our next stage of growth.

What you'll be doing:

Managing a team of

6+ Underwriters

, ensuring consistent, high-quality decision-making and customer service. Leading from the front: coaching and mentoring team members, reviewing lending decisions, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and FCA regulations. Designing and delivering effective training and development programmes to improve performance and maintain high standards, ensuring the team Collaborating closely with senior leadership to evolve our credit and risk strategy and optimise loan approval processes. Monitoring underwriting KPIs, ensuring credit risk is appropriately managed while maintaining a positive customer journey. Identifying trends in application data and contributing to product and policy development. Ensuring all decisions are in line with Consumer Duty principles and responsible lending practices.

What we're looking for:

Minimum 2 years' management

experience in a regulated underwriting, credit, or financial services environment. Proven experience leading a team of underwriters or credit analysts, with a focus on quality, compliance, and performance. Strong understanding of

credit risk, affordability assessments, and FCA regulatory requirements.

A confident communicator, clear decision-maker, and passionate team leader. Someone who wants to be part of a company that's doing things differently - and better. This is an
