Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Unit Leader

to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining high standards of early childhood education. The

Unit Leader

will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff, contributing to the overall success of our setting.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise a team of childcare professionals, ensuring effective team coordination and communication. Oversee daily activities within the nursery, ensuring they meet organisational standards and policies. Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with regulatory requirements. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and centre activities. Organise and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote early childhood development. Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, scheduling, and compliance documentation. Drive organisational initiatives to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements



Proven management and leadership experience within childcare or nursery settings. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs if required. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Passionate about child development and creating a positive environment for children to thrive. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are desirable but not essential. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.30-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
