We are seeking an experienced and motivated Unit Manager (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) to provide outstanding clinical leadership within our well-established care home in Staffordshire. Key Responsibilities:
As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the clinical and operational leadership of your unit. Your duties will include:
Providing strong, visible leadership and clinical supervision to the nursing and care team.
Overseeing all aspects of care delivery on the unit, ensuring it is person-centred and of the highest quality.
Managing and supervising safe medication roundsand administration in line with NMC guidelines.
Taking charge of the unit during day shifts*, working autonomously and using your initiative to solve problems.
Conducting staff supervisions, appraisals, and supporting the professional development of your team.
Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans, with a focus on elderly care and dementia care*.
Ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations*, company policies, and clinical best practices.
Acting as a role model for junior staff and student nurses, promoting best practice at all times.
Requirements:
A valid NMC PIN as a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)*.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Unit Manager role within a UK nursing home or care home*.
Proven, hands-on experience leading medication roundsand managing complex clinical needs.
The confidence and competence to work autonomouslyand manage a unit without direct supervision.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A deep understanding of CQC standards and a commitment to clinical excellence in elderly care*.
