About the Role



Lochwynd Limited is looking for experienced

Unit Operators (Level 2 & Level 3)

to join our Loops department, Based out of our Warrington Depot. You will support the safe and efficient installation of traffic loops and associated civil engineering works in line with client specifications and company procedures.

You'll work under the direction of a Supervisor and play a key role in delivering high-quality installations, testing and site documentation.

Key Responsibilities



Set up work sites following job pack instructions and drawings Carry out daily maintenance checks on plant and equipment Conduct traffic management duties on 30mph and 40mph roads Safely operate fire hydrants, road saws, vehicle tail lifts, tar boilers and temperature probes Handle tar, epoxy resins, propane gas and loop cable safely Install cable in slots, twisted tails, street furniture/cabinets and identify loop tails Demonstrate correct installation processes including resin placement and backfilling Install ducting, termination, jointing and test loops to specification Install MCH1540, SCOOT, MOVA and XYZ loops to standard Use test equipment accurately and record results Complete all site documentation fully and correctly Maintain site cleanliness and general housekeeping Perform additional duties as required

Key Deliverables



Follow NRASWA and MCH/MCX rules Complete all job-related paperwork, authorised and submitted on time Ensure safe and diligent working practices

Skills & Experience



Experience in groundworks or general civil engineering Understanding of health & safety practices Ability to carry out manual handling tasks Strong communication skills Ability to follow instructions from management Leadership capability to supervise or guide others when required

ECS card Manual Handling (104) NRSWA Unit 1 / Cable Avoidance (202) Power Tools Awareness (204) Traffic Management (12D equivalent - 302.1) DNO/G39 Awareness (210.1) CSCS card NRSWA Street Works Card (Operator) Emergency First Aid SSSTS - Site Safety Supervisor Level 2 Highways Electrical Systems (Lantra Awards) Access to Cabinets via Ducts SC04 or 5B
