Job Opportunity

The Role



We are looking for an enthusiastic Day Service Manager to lead and develop our PODS service. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high quality and person-centred support, and create an environment where young adults can grow, learn and flourish.



You will manage a team of Support Workers and a Support Supervisor, ensuring the service is safe, compliant and continuously improving.



What You'll Be Doing



Leading and coordinating the daily running of the day service

Ensuring activities are meaningful, age-appropriate and aligned with individual aspirations

Promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes

Overseeing support planning and person-centred practice

Supporting, supervising and developing staff

Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory standards

Building strong relationships with families, carers and professionals

Managing referrals, transitions and service enquiries

Supporting with budget oversight and resource planning

Essential Skills

About You



We're looking for someone who is:



Experienced in supporting people with learning disabilities, ideally including young adults

An effective leader with supervisory or management experience

Skilled in communication, organisation, planning and problem-solving

Knowledgeable about safeguarding, MCA and person-centred approaches

Confident in building positive relationships with families and professionals

Committed to delivering high-quality, empowering support

Passionate about our values: Customer Excellence, Teamwork, Communication, Embracing Change, Trust and Respect

A Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)

Purple Oak Support have been serving the communities of Andover and the surrounding areas for over 55 years. What started out as a concerned group of parents whose children has a learning disability, has now turned into a charity which provides supported living services, domiciliary care, community support and children's respite.
