Are you a dynamic and compassionate nurse looking to make a real difference in cancer diagnostics? We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Upper GI Triage Assessment Team at King's Mill Hospital.

About the Role:

As a key member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), you will provide expert clinical support and guidance to patients referred to the Upper GI triage service. You will play a vital role in shaping and delivering the patient pathway, ensuring timely and effective care in line with Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) and Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialist nursing advice to patients and colleagues across the diagnostic pathway.



Use advanced clinical assessment and communication skills to support patients and ensure all relevant information is available to the MDT.



Interpret clinical investigations and determine appropriate next steps, including discharge, GP referral, or escalation to specialist services.



Support the implementation of evidence-based diagnostic protocols, including Straight to Test (STT) pathways.



Collaborate with professionals across primary, secondary, and tertiary care to ensure seamless patient care.
