Job Description

Due to an increase in our NHS Urgent Care Contract from October 2025, we are seeking an associate to work under an NHS emergency contract, which offers freedom from the UDA system with a guaranteed, sessional rate directly from the NHS - in addition, there would be scope for private upgrades, and the potential to add additional days to facilitate this.

What we are looking for:

Self-employed Dentist (preferably with a minimum of 2 years' experience) Part Time Position- 2 days per week - Tuesdays and Thursdays only Available to work 9am to 5pm. Must be GDC Registered Must have an active NHS performer number Must have suitable indemnity A passion for dentistry and professional development Excellent communication skills Commitment to our team and our practice Empathetic, kind, welcoming with a positive outlook

What we can offer you:

30 min appointments for urgent care with time for continued care to get the patient dentally fit. 250 per session (for 7 appointments): 2 sessions 9am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm) Chairside support from one of our excellent dental nurses Therapy support for continued care from a dedicated therapist 1 day per week (at no charge) An established independent dental practice with clinical director on hand A supportive and experienced Practice Manager, Lead Dental Nurse and Lead Patient Co-ordinator A friendly and well organised team of dentists, therapists, hygienists, dental nurses and patient co-ordinators. Including other dentists carrying out Urgent Care. Excellent professional development including financial packages for courses Newly renovated practice, Modern equipment and Dentally software Fantastic location - only a few minutes' walk from York City Centre and York Train Station with good bus links and 'pay and display' parking nearby. Fixed term from 1st October 2025 to 31st March 2026, however, contact may be renewed for another year by the NHS.
