Python Developer

Role Overview

As a Python Developer at WestLink, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams--including product managers, designers, and other engineers--to deliver scalable solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy efficient and reusable Python code. Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into clean, scalable solutions. Integrate with APIs, databases, and third-party services. Maintain and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong proficiency in

Python 3.x

and its frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI). Solid understanding of

object-oriented programming

, design patterns, and best practices. Experience with

RESTful APIs

, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming. Proficiency with

databases

(SQL and NoSQL). Familiarity with

version control systems

(Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize complex systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with

cloud platforms

(AWS, GCP, or Azure). Knowledge of

containerization and orchestration

(Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, etc.) is a plus. Understanding of

data engineering or machine learning workflows
