Urgent Request Coordinator (urc)

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

SFR Medical: Urgent Request Coordinator (URC)

Who we are

SFR Medical provides written medical reports for UK police forces to use in the investigation and conviction of violent crimes. We have been in existence for over seven years - our proprietary solution has reduced waiting times for the production of medical reports from several months to five days (and at times to less than one hour). This greatly helps police officers, NHS staff, the criminal justice system, but most importantly, victims. The work URCs perform is integral to our service of protecting victims and facilitating justice.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with strong organisational and customer service skills who has the desire to be a part of a fast-growing social and entrepreneurial company. The role's working hours are outside of normal office working hours, so it is vital you are happy with working unsociable hours only. It is essential that you provide excellent communication to clients, medical administrative staff, and colleagues within the SFR Medical team. Being a team-player and being able to thrive under pressure are key to your success in this role. You must also be organised, conscientious, attentive to details, and have a positive, can-do attitude.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Answering calls from police officers regarding urgent requests they have submitted for medical evidence. Relaying the relevant information and documents between all groups that work in connection with SFR Medical; police officers, medical secretaries, and the medical professionals on our team Attending virtual meetings with other members of the Operations Team

Other things to note:

You will be handling extremely sensitive information, so you will need to adhere to specific security and safety protocols, as well ensure that your actions are compliant with the Data Protection Act 2018.

This a working-from-home role on a company-supplied laptop/computer. Despite working-from-home, the ideal candidate would work and connect well with the other members of the SFR Medical team, helping others within the team and suggesting improvements to any processes as they become apparent.

We are looking to hire one applicant who will start their two-week training for this role on Monday 1st December 2025, and start the URC role on Monday 15th December 2025 onwards.

Attending the two weeks of training is mandatory and involves two hours of training on the weekdays of those two weeks. Trainee URCs receive a payment separate to their URC role salary for these two weeks of training.

The working hours are unsociable hours; URCs work in the weekday evenings, overnight, and over the weekend days and nights. The role is has a four-on, four-off shift rota. Work is only required as and when requests for medical evidence are submitted or require management outside of normal working hours.

This permanent position has an initial six-month probationary period.

The URC position has enormous potential upside, ranging from the ability to make a real impact on the criminal justice system to getting experience in an early-stage entrepreneurial venture with founders who are passionate about helping others.

About us

SFR Medical (https://sfrmedical.com/

)

is a social entrepreneurial MedTech start-up based in London.

SFR Medical exists to expedite the provision of medical evidence for victims of violent crime. The traditional system is slow, cumbersome, unreliable and fragmented. Experiencing such frustrations as part of the everyday workings of the NHS, our Executive Team piloted a process which formed the origins of our now efficient SFR Medical process, resulting in a 85% reduction in waiting times, increased confidence in local policing and less frustration for the hospitals. Following the great success of this pilot, SFR Medical was founded.

Since SFR Medical's inception, our team has grown, our operational processes have been enhanced and refined, our cybersecurity strengthened to the highest standards and our product offering list expanded.

However, what remains at SFR Medical's core is our vision to create a world where victims of violent crimes are supported through robust technology, compassion and accurate data. To go beyond evidence.
