Ocean Infinity is seeking a USV Technical Superintendent to provide technical oversight to both the build program and technical management of the Unmanned Surface Vessel fleet.
What you will do:Manage technical oversight during the newbuild, integration and operation of the USV fleet;
Responsible for the delivery of shipyard contracts;
Coordinate yard delivery with wider USV stakeholders;
Assist in regulatory assurance with Class and Flag for novel USV technology;
Manage relationships with key Suppliers;
Provide day to day support and advisory with respect to technical requirements of part of the Armada USV fleet;
Assist in developing maintenance and operational procedures with the USV Operations;
Planning and arranging vessel upgrades, USV system deployment, drydocking and refits together with Class and Flag inspections;
Compile and monitor the budget for the assigned USVs;
Coordinates technical activities in close corporation with relevant departments;
Supervise and instruct USV Technicians and provide guidance on maintenance plans and route cause analysis should system failures occur in deployment;
Verifying applicable technical rules and regulations and monitor changes;
Any other duties as assigned by the USV Product Lead.
Who you are:Technical education and experience preferably in Shipping/Shipbuilding;
Marine Engineering qualification or equivalent;
Coordination experience in the technical field in the Maritime industry;
Highly delivery driven work ethic;
Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the organization;
Adaptability and problem-solving capability;
Strong technical and engineering skills.
Desirable:2nd Engineer CoC;
Combined Electro/Mechanical background;
BOSIET;
OGUK medical.
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
