Visual Designer - Paid Summer Internship

Location: Hybrid London office in U.K.

Position Summary:

Around the world, the people who design, build, and operate better and more resilient infrastructure rely on Bentley. Supporting them requires intuitive and beautiful product experiences, and that's where Visual Design becomes a driving force. Joining us as a Visual Design Intern means stepping into a welcoming environment where your eye for detail and sense of aesthetics will thrive. You'll gain hands-on experience in the craft of visual design within our Design System team, learning how to create the building blocks that product teams use to build their UIs. This internship is more than just a learning opportunity -- it's a launchpad. With the support of a dedicated mentor, collaboration with fellow designers, and exposure to industry experts, you'll sharpen your craft, grow your confidence, and make meaningful contributions to Bentley's mission of advancing the world's infrastructure. Your Day-to-Day:

Learn and contribute to the development and maintenance of our Design System, including UI components, icons, illustrations, patterns, and guidelines.Support documentation for visual design standards, specifications, and usage guidelines for product teams.Participate in Design Community of Practice activities, sharing your inspiration and learning from peers.Collaborate with fellow designers, developers, and product teams to contribute to daily visual design tasks and component refinements.Learn about the specifics of different infrastructure software products through observing research activities.

What You Bring to The Team:

An impeccable eye for detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics. Bonus points for a portfolio that demonstrates this.Basic familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite, and an eagerness to learn system-level design practices.A curiosity for exploring complexity in design for advanced software products.A mindset of continuous learning while collaborating with teams to understand design challenges.You are an undergraduate in one of the following fields: Visual Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, Architecture, or equivalent.
