Flu Vaccinator - School-Based (Harwich & Surrounding Areas)

Monday to Friday

Hours:

08:30 - 17:30 (Shorter days, e.g. 08:30 - 15:00, at smaller schools)

We are currently seeking

Flu Vaccinators

to support the upcoming

2025 Flu Season

, assisting with the delivery of flu vaccinations to children in

Primary and Secondary Schools

across

Harwich and surrounding areas

.

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to public health by supporting local schools and communities in the fight against seasonal flu.

Key Responsibilities

Administer flu vaccinations to school-aged children in accordance with clinical protocols Work as part of a mobile vaccination team Travel between school sites (transport provided or mileage reimbursed) Maintain accurate vaccination records and follow all relevant clinical procedures Collaborate with on-site Administrators and fellow Nurses to ensure smooth clinic operations

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RGN or equivalent)

with up-to-date NMC registration Demonstrable experience in administering vaccinations or injections Confidence in working with children in a school setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to travel between sites as required
