As a Valve Technician, your role is to ensure that the performance and availability of Control Valve is available to site at all time, and to execute all activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans, safety management system requirements and best working practices
Experience (Essential)
Extensive knowledge of working on Control Valves & associated ancillaries
Knowledge of electronic and pneumatic transmitters and positioners
Knowledge of Control Valve components and standards
Prime responsibilities and duties
Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system.
Assisting with the co-ordination of spare part requirements and optimising of spares stock levels
Carrying out unplanned maintenance as required
Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
Preparing technical reports
Fault finding and rectification for rotating equipment
Carry out emergency response duties as required by the Client
Qualifications/Training
Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
NVQ/SVQ Level 3 certification in Mechanical Fitting/Mechanical Engineering
PAss a Wood Skills Screening
Pass a Site Based Pre-employment Medical
