Overview

We are seeking a skilled and professional Experienced HGV Driver (up to 18 tonnes) to join our growing team. You will deliver marble slabs and stone products across the UK and occasionally act as the Foreman on-site, overseeing delivery teams and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

This role involves driving a range of vehicles -- including 18 tonne, 12 tonne, 7.5 tonne, and 3.5 tonne -- and supporting with the safe handling, loading, and unloading of delicate and heavy goods.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van for the transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records. Assist with minor mechanical issues that may arise during operations. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes.

Experience

Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence is required. Experience in warehouse operations or as a delivery driver is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements

? Full UK Driving Licence with

Category C (Class 2)

entitlement (to drive up to 18 tonne)
? Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
? Minimum of

2 years' experience driving 7.5 tonne+ vehicles

? At least

180 days of driving experience in the last 2 years

? No more than 5 penalty points on licence, and no more than 10 infringements in the past 12 months
? Up-to-date knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations
? Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy stone slabs
? Ability to pass a

DBS check

? Safety boots and Class C Hi-Vis required
