Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

Operate a Luton van to transport goods to various locations in a safe and efficient manner. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding inventory levels. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. When not driving you will assist with warehouse duties as required. This will include picking, packing and assembly of stock as well as inventory management. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns professionally.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for van operation. Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. A good understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
