East Lancashire Hospice is a registered charity, founded in 1984. We support and care for patients with a life limiting illness, their families and others close to them. We provide this in a number of ways; at the hospice and in people's own homes across our community of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.

With approximately 120 employees and over 250 volunteers, our peple are our biggest asset whom we value tremendously. Our services to the local community would not be possible without our motivated and caring workforce who always strive to deliver excellence in all that they do. The hospice is a unique and special place, kindness and compassion are qualities that run throughout the hospice and our people truly believe in what we do.

The Role



We are looking for a Van Driver to join our retail team. This role is essential in ensuring donations are transported efficiently to our stores and plays a key part in maintaining the smooth operation of our charity shops. You will be responsible for collecting and delivering donated furniture and other household items. You will also work closely with the shop managers to ensure stock is transported efficiently between shops. To comply with our vehicle insurance policy, this role is for individuals aged 25 years and over.

What we offer



This role is part time (30 hours - including weekends) and the salary is 19,656. While based at East Lancashire Hospice, this role will involve frequent travel to locations across Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn, and the Ribble Valley in the van provided by East Lancashire Hospice.

The successful candidate will be fully supported by an experienced Head of Retail and Director of Income Generation and Marketing.
