Catering Van Driver (Part-time)



The candidate preferred relevant experience is similar to the hospitality industry, such as food van delivery driving and having area knowledge and knowledgeable about kitchen hygiene & food hygiene.

12.50-13 per hour plus incentives (Depends on experience)

Job Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements



Right to Work

Candidates must possess valid documentation proving their right to work in the UK. Original documents must be presented for verification during the application process.

Driving License & Flexibility

A valid UK driving licence is required. Candidates must be experienced in driving vans, including long-wheelbase vans. Flexible working hours are essential, including availability during lunch hours, evenings, and weekends.

Work Ethic & Company Policies

Strict punctuality, adherence to company policies, teamwork, and the ability to multitask are essential requirements.

Job Briefings & Training

Candidates must be willing to take on regular food delivery and catering van driving responsibilities. Attendance at daily or weekly job briefings is mandatory to receive full instructions. Relevant training will be provided to successful candidates.

Fuel & Vehicle Usage

When using a personal vehicle for takeaway food deliveries, the company will reimburse fuel costs based on distance and postcode. Candidates are also required to drive company vans for various tasks.

Primary Duties

The main responsibility is to deliver food, groceries, and vegetables in coordination with the team. Drivers are expected to assist with other duties when deliveries are not scheduled.

Vehicle & Food Packaging Responsibilities

Drivers must ensure vehicles are properly maintained, including refueling ahead of event days or long-distance trips. Additional duties include food packaging and distributing takeaway orders to customers.

Event Logistics & Support

Transport catering items such as food, cutlery, crockery, glassware, utensils, and equipment to event locations. Responsible for loading and unloading with assistance from the team.

On-site Event Assistance

Support the event and kitchen teams with catering-related tasks during events and operations.

Team Coordination

Maintain effective communication and coordination with event managers and staff to ensure smooth execution of event tasks.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
