Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced driver to drive a Transit size van. The position is 40 hours per week 6.00am - 2.15pm Monday - Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with basic mechanical maintenance of the vehicle as needed. Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year driving experience Valid driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance tasks. Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods safely. A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to regulations.
