About the role



We are looking for customer focused individuals who pride themselves on delivering the highest levels of customer service.

As Delivery Driver you will be responsible for maintaining our high standards ensuring timely delivery and collection of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes. This will also involve reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading vans and providing exceptional customer service to our customers. You will be responsible for maintaining our high standards working as a member of a highly effective & efficient team of drivers.

This role is customer facing and the successful candidate will be expected to represent themselves and the company to highest standards.

Day-to-day duties



To organise deliveries in a prompt and efficient manner and to maintain records as required. To maintain good customer relations by being courteous and helpful at all times and report any problems that may arise from goods or services supplied by our Company. To drive our company vehicle in a careful and courteous manner with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and Company Procedures. To keep our vehicle clean at all times and carry out daily checks on oil, water, battery, lights, tyres, fuel and report any new damage. To carefully observe Company procedures regarding accidents and insurance claims and to report any accidents or other occurrence relating to the Company vehicle without delay. To ensure secure collection of payment for all cash on delivery invoices at time of delivery. To have due regard for Health and Safety of others whilst undertaking your duties. To immediately notify Manager of any vehicle defects and give advance warning of vehicle maintenance schedule.

Essential requirements:



Full UK driving licence. Keen to learn, with a can-do attitude. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Excellent attention to detail when loading/unloading and reviewing orders. Good attendance and punctuality A great communicator - friendly, clear and concise Adaptability, Able to work under pressure

Desirable requirements:



Previous experience delivering goods within a motor factor or similar distribution chain. Enjoys working to high standard as part of a team. Presentable and positive attitude

The Company



Dingbro Ltd are wholesale distributors of motor vehicle components, body shop supplies & paint plus truck & trailer parts.

We are strictly trade only suppliers to the motor trade, truck operators, plant operators, offshore industry, oil service companies, marine engineers, shipping & ship chandlers, emergency services, councils and local authorities.

We supply a wide range of products, from the original equipment component manufacturers, ranging from small Bosch repair parts for diesel & fuel injection to suspension air bags and brake drums for large lorries & cranes. Filters and batteries for deep sea oil tankers & cruise liners.

Stockholding within the company is in excess of 30 million, with over 300,000 part lines on our active stock list.

We have at least a daily delivery in all areas of the mainland that we cover, from the Central Belt, Borders and Cumbria in the South, to Caithness in the North, many areas enjoy hourly service.

We also service Orkney, Shetland, and the Western Isles by ferry.
