The Role:
This is an exciting dual-purpose role for a
Van Driver & Field Sales Representative
. The successful candidate will not only carry out deliveries but will also play an active role in
site-to-site field sales
, engaging with both existing and prospective customers to drive growth.
You will be the face of the business on the road--building relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect stock from depot and load the van safely to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery
Conduct multi-drop deliveries across your designated route
Deliver excellent customer service and ensure stock is checked before proof of delivery is signed
Visit retail and trade customers across the route to
introduce products, generate orders, and upsell
Promote new offers, seasonal items, and identify business opportunities with both new and existing customers
Build and maintain strong relationships with shop owners, managers, and buyers
Liaise with the internal office team for route updates and customer information
Record leads and sales activity accurately using internal systems
Maintain the delivery vehicle in good condition and report any issues promptly

Requirements (Essential):
Previous driving and delivery experience
Experience or strong interest in
face-to-face sales or customer interaction
Ability to lift and handle goods
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated and results-driven attitude
Valid UK Driving Licence (max 3 points, no TT/CD/DD/DR offences)
Valid Passport, National Insurance Number, and DVLA check code/summary
Right to work in the UK/Ireland with no restrictions
Android/iPhone (smartphone)
for use with delivery/sales apps
Desirable:
Field sales experience in FMCG, wholesale, or food distribution
Familiarity with delivery or route-planning apps
Knowledge of the convenience and independent retail sector
