Van Driver
Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, Essex
12.21 per hour (Band 2, NHS)
Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Temporary placement up to 3 months.

Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a reliable and motivated Van Driver to join their team. You will play a vital role in supporting hospital operations by transporting goods, equipment, and medical supplies safely and efficiently between sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a delivery and collection service, including post, medication, vaccines, samples, medical records, and instruments. Sort and distribute post as part of the internal logistics function. Ensure secure delivery of items while in transit, including obtaining signatures for controlled drugs and blood products. Carry out daily vehicle checks, including monitoring tyre tread, fuel, oil levels, and reporting any defects. Ensure full compliance with traffic regulations and Trust policies at all times.
Person Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence (essential) Previous driver or courier experience preferred (but not essential) Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Basic vehicle maintenance awareness Trustworthy, professional, and physically capable of manual handling tasks
