Job Description

Furnell Transport require a van driver for national work with regular overnight stays & trips to Ireland.

Good manners & English language skills are essential for dealing with customers as our work is very involved. The applicant must have the ability to work for long periods on their own & use initiative.

We have been established in Hemel Hempstead since 1967 and provide specialist transport and storage, requiring a great deal of expertise from our drivers in handling our customer's product and machinery, which can be quite physical work. We also handle dangerous / hazardous goods and provide ADR training to all our drivers, though this work is less regular for the vans. We aim to retain our employees for the long term as this provides greater customer service to our customers, and keeps the experience and training you receive in the company.

Hourly wage 13.50 - 13.90 depending on experience (with overtime hours regularly available). Yearly wage indicated shows a range dependent on willingness to carry out longer distant work in UK / Northern Ireland involving overnight work. Fleet Insurance policy requires applicant to have held a full driving licence for 12m+ and 6 or less points.
