Van driver position available, we are a contractor company that works with evri delivering and collecting parcels from shops.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and mechanical knowledge. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to operate flatbed vehicles, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. Warehouse experience is also advantageous, as it will aid in the efficient handling of materials.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed vehicles for the safe transportation of goods to various locations. Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload materials, utilising proper handling techniques to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
